Weekly vs. twice-monthly house cleaning
A practical way to choose how often your home needs help, with the visit counts and billing spelled out.
Choose weekly if you want help every week. Choose twice per month if you can keep up with some cleaning between visits. GoodHands offers both. The twice-per-month plan includes exactly two regular cleans each month; weekly service is priced per clean by text.
Compare the schedules before comparing prices
Cleaning terms can hide a real difference. Twice per month means 24 regular visits across 12 full months. Every two weeks generally means about 26 visits in a year. Weekly service usually means four visits in a month, with five in some months. A recurring plan should say which schedule you are buying.
GoodHands' published monthly plans are for exactly two regular cleans each month. Your introductory charity clean is an additional visit in the first month. Weekly clients agree on their per-clean price and schedule with Jed before service starts.

Look at the rooms you use most
Home size is only part of the decision. Think about how many people use each bathroom, how often you cook, and how much dirt comes through the entry. A small home with a busy kitchen may need more frequent attention than a larger home with several unused rooms.
Walk through your home a week after cleaning. If the bathrooms and floors already need another full pass and you do not want that job, ask about weekly visits. If the house still feels manageable and the main task is light tidying, twice per month could be enough.
Keep pet hair, muddy shoes, and guest visits in the conversation. These are practical workload details. There is no single schedule that every family, pet owner, or Knoxville homeowner has to choose.
Choose weekly when the work returns quickly
Weekly house cleaning can suit a household that uses most rooms every day, hosts often, or wants to spend less time on routine cleaning between appointments. A weekly visit repeats the everyday room checklist so there is less time between full cleans.
You still handle dishes, laundry, spills, and personal clutter. Share the rooms that matter most and ask what is in the weekly quote. If a room is used only occasionally, explain that rather than assuming every space needs the same attention.
Choose twice per month when you can do some upkeep
Cleaning twice per month provides a regular reset while leaving some upkeep with you. That may mean wiping the kitchen between cooking sessions, keeping the entry tidy, and dealing with spills as they happen.
The published GoodHands price is based on bedrooms: $180 per clean for 1–2 bedrooms, $240 for 3, or $300 for 4+. The monthly charge covers two regular visits. A longer month does not add a third paid clean to that plan. Confirm your two dates rather than assuming the visits are always exactly 14 days apart.
Start with the right scope
If your home has heavier build-up, choosing a more frequent schedule does not explain the work needed at the first visit. Tell Jed about baseboards, fixtures, kitchen grease, and any other priorities. Ask whether a separate deep-clean quote makes sense.
If you are preparing for one event and do not want ongoing service, request a one-time clean. Recurring service and a one-time job serve different needs. Our deep vs. regular cleaning guide explains how scope and frequency fit together.
Compare the full cost, not just one visit
For the twice-per-month plan, compare the monthly charge with your budget: $360, $480, or $600. The per-clean figure makes it easier to understand the value of each visit, but the plan is billed monthly. Do not treat the published per-clean amount as a standalone one-time-clean quote.
For weekly service, ask Jed to confirm the per-clean price and how months with four or five visits are handled in your agreement. The site does not publish a weekly price. You should have the amount and schedule in writing before committing.
Book around your actual calendar
Think about school runs, work-from-home calls, pets, guests, and access. You do not have to be home if entry has been arranged, but the appointment needs to fit the household. Send your address and preferred schedule and ask about availability.
If your needs change, text Jed to discuss a different schedule and confirm the new price. Read the service agreement for notice and cancellation terms. Choosing a plan is easier when the visit count, included work, and monthly or per-visit billing are clear from the start.
Common questions
Is twice per month the same as biweekly?
No. GoodHands monthly plans include exactly two regular cleans each month. Every 14 days would add visits over a full year.
Does a longer month include an extra paid clean?
Not on the twice-per-month plan. It includes two regular cleans in each month. Weekly plans have their own visit schedule and per-clean quote.
How much is weekly cleaning?
Jed texts a per-clean quote for weekly service after you share your home details. The twice-per-month prices are not a published weekly rate.
Can I change my cleaning frequency?
Text Jed to discuss availability and confirm the new schedule and price in writing.
Does the charity offer apply to both recurring options?
Yes. New weekly and twice-per-month clients can receive the introductory charity clean with a service agreement. It is not a standalone free-clean offer.
